Erwin Schmidt

Erwin joined our team in the summer of 2017. Before that Erwin was already active over 20 years with satellite and network technology; starting in broadcasting, through teleport operators and with global system integrators. He did this all over the world in various -senior- engineering capacities, like SNG engineer, manager satellite capacity and director sales engineering, at companies like Loral (now Telesat) and Globecomm (now Speedcast)

Building on this strong background Erwin is now Director of Products and Services at iVent, which also entails program management for the larger customers.

Erwin’s hobbies are cycling both MTB as well as Race and he is an avid snowboarder. When weather permits, he drives his motorcycle to work.

Erwin speaks Dutch, English, and German as well as a bit of French.
