How to ensure your customers passengers are reachable at all times, on their own Mobile!
A medium sized global company boasting a couple of hundred million dollars in revenues delivering connectivity services on board of vessels, aircraft and remote locations was struggling to find a solution to the following problem;
“The individual users on a compound, vessel or plane could make calls to the outside world however people in the outside world could not reach them if they were “off the grid” on their regular mobile numbers”.
Of course, if one knows where the particular individual is it would be possible to get a hold of them using a satellite phone number or a specific VoIP extension on a local WAN behind the VSAT. However, you don’t always know where people are….
The easiest thing would be to always get a hold of someone using their familiar, known, mobile number.
For one of their larger customers this was such a pressing problem that they threatened to take their business elsewhere if no solution was found to fix this.

MyPhone is an Application (“App”) you can simply install on your smartphone. It works on any IOS or Android smartphone, without any SIM changes required.
It allows you to place and receive calls and messages using your normal SIM and smartphone everywhere on the globe where WiFi is available. It is not provider or backbone dependent. Everyone with a regular (mobile) phone can call you, also when you are outside GSM-coverage. The caller does not require the same App or anything else, he or she just makes a regular call to your mobile number.
The App and the specific technology behind it saved the day for this company as they were able to present their customer with the perfect solution to their problem.
Most notable is, that iVent was able to come up with the first design for the solution in a mere 3 weeks. The engineering and full implementation were completed within 4 months only!
This flexibility and quick turnaround is exemplary for iVent. The type of solution is a testament to the innovativeness and type of lateral thinking that characterizes the company.
iVent won the company as one of its first customers based on this solution. The company was able to retain their customer and grow their loyalty and thus, their revenue.
