Sjoerd de Vries

After a career that started in the armed forces where he was a liaison officer Sjoerd ended up in the satellite communications industry in 2009. Here he became part of network engineering and operations and later headed IP Engineering at Globecomm Europe. Early 2015 Sjoerd joined iVent where he is now the Director Development. In this role Sjoerd is the final responsible for the development and implementation of new technologies at customers by his team.

Sjoerd loves the fact that iVent despite its growth, and the -procedural and compliance related- demands of blue chip and governmental customers, has remained an agile company. As a tech guy the diverse and broad technology base is another important fun factor.

Next to technology Sjoerd, like Erwin, likes cycling in his spare time.
